Tri-luma Cream
Tri-luma Cream is widely recommended for the treatment melasma, a skin condition in which brown and dark patches appear on the face. This effective topical therapy is being used for the treatment of moderate-to-severe dark spots that become facial melasma. There are three effective ingredients available in the cream to combat the risk of dark patches on the skin. The FDA has approved the application of Triluma Cream.
Working of Triluma Cream:
Triluma cream works to treat dark spots on the face by restricting the production of certain hormones (prostaglandins). Unlike most other hormones, prostaglandins are produced by the glands and then released into the bloodstream. Prostaglandins are highly responsible for causing redness and patches on the skin. This cream has hydroquinone, a skin lightening medicine, which can reduce the risk of pigment. It also has tretinoin that can reverse the adamant skin conditions. The available vitamin A substance in tretinoin can help you renew skin tissues, enhancing its natural glow and softness. Triluma Cream should be used along with a sunscreen of SPF 30 to intensify the process of skin revitalization.
Active Ingredients of Tri-Luma
There are three main ingredients present in Triluma Cream. The first ingredient is fluocinolone acetonide 0.01%, a mild corticosteroid that can reduce skin inflammation. The second element is hydroquinone 4%; it can discourage the pigmentation process by restricting the formation and synthesis of melanin. Hydroquinone can also help you lighten skin to a good extent. The third active ingredient is tretinoin 0.05%; it promotes skin cell turn over by exfoliating the dead skin cells. Also, Tretinoin has a vitamin-A derivative to repair the damaged skin tissues that cause melasma.
Side Effects of Triluma Cream:
It is largely safe to use Triluma Cream but some users may experience mild-to-moderate side effects. The allergic reaction of tretinoin could cause breathing shortness. Users may also experience skin redness, burning; itching, skin dryness and peeling in some areas but these side effects disappear after a few weeks of regular application. The corticosteroid content available in this cream is reported to cause some side effects on the skin that include itching, irritation, changes in skin color, inflammation around the mouth, skin thinning, stretch marks, skin infection, dryness, infection of the hair follicle, acne outbreak, and sweat problems. Its other reversible effects on the adrenal gland called hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis suppression.
Some other cases of side effects are registered in which users of Triluma Cream experience the development of blackheads, skin redness, tingling, acne breakout, increased skin sensitivity and rash, skin bumps, and blisters on the skin.
